Guess what? Punk becomes sweet!
If Talking Heads mean post-punk, my Psycho Killer cover will blow your mind. Punk sweetens up and becomes Dolche (the word “dolce” meaning sweet in Italian). I hope Talking Heads fans won't get too shocked and will come to love my delicate notes and estranged sounds.
I grew up in a secluded and isolated 40 inhabitants village in the Alps mountains and my music is, as you can immmagine, very peculiar. I started this independent international project involving people from all over the world: from the Swedish co-producer Tobias Fröberg (Ane Brun, Peter Bjorn and John, Abba), to the Californian mixing engineer Noah Georgeson (Devendra Banhart) to the New York acclaimed master engineer Emily Lazar (Grammy Award winner 2019, for Colors by Beck). Besides this cover my new album features 13 original tracks.
I decided to launch this 2 year long work (the complete original album will be released at the end of 2019) with an homage to the Talking Heads, and David Byrne whom I admire profoundly.
Multi-instrumental and multicultural, Dolche's music is a powerful voyage. Her music has often been compared to the works of
Feist, Bjork, Joni Mitchell, and Aznavour. The horns and the ower crown she wears on stage, are an homage to an image from her childhood when cows, descending from mountain summer pastures. CONTACT_ firstname.lastname@example.org Facebook/Instagram: Dolche.Offcial...more
